Blood-Pressure Nerve Stimulator, Whole System

Hawaii rates for HCPCS 0266T

A complete blood-pressure stimulation system is implanted or replaced: a small pulse generator is placed under the skin and one or more leads are attached to the carotid sinus, a pressure-sensing patch on the carotid artery in the neck. Gentle electrical signals there prompt the body's own reflexes to lower blood pressure and ease the load on the heart. Testing, programming and adjusting the position during the operation are included.
