Anesthesia for Catheter Treatment of the Liver Veins

Kentucky rates for HCPCS 01931

Anesthesia care for a treatment carried out through a catheter threaded into the veins inside the liver and the portal circulation that drains into it, steered by live X-ray pictures rather than by open surgery. A common example is creating a channel within the liver to relieve dangerously high pressure in those veins. The doctor performing the procedure charges separately.
