Anesthesia for a Scan or Radiation Treatment

Anesthesia care given so a patient can stay completely still and comfortable through a scan or a session of radiation treatment. It is used mainly for young children and for people who cannot lie still or cannot tolerate being enclosed in a scanner. The anesthesia team watches breathing and circulation throughout and stays with the patient until they are awake.
