Anesthesia For Vein Surgery Of Forearm Or Hand

Utah rates for HCPCS 01852

Covers the anesthesia care for an operation on the veins of the forearm, wrist or hand. The anesthesia team assesses the patient beforehand, gives the anesthetic — which may be a nerve block numbing the arm rather than a general anesthetic — and monitors them until they are safely awake. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
