Covers the anesthesia care given during a procedure on the forearm, wrist or hand. The anesthesia clinician provides a general anesthetic, a nerve block that numbs the arm, or a combination, then monitors breathing, heart rhythm and blood pressure throughout and manages recovery afterwards. The surgeon's work on the limb is a separate service and is billed separately.
