Anesthesia for Clot Removal From a Forearm Artery

Arizona rates for HCPCS 01842

Anesthesia care for an operation to remove a blood clot blocking an artery in the forearm, wrist or hand and restore blood flow to the fingers. The anesthesia team keeps the patient comfortable, often with a nerve block that numbs the whole arm, and monitors circulation while flow is re-established. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
