Anesthesia for Clot Removal From an Upper Arm Artery

North Carolina rates for HCPCS 01772

Anesthesia care for an operation to pull a blood clot out of an artery in the upper arm or at the elbow and restore blood flow to the rest of the limb. The anesthesia team keeps the patient comfortable, often with a nerve block numbing the arm, and monitors circulation while flow is restored. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
