Anesthesia for Clot Removal From a Lower Leg Artery

Kentucky rates for HCPCS 01502

Anesthesia care for an urgent operation to pull a blood clot out of an artery in the lower leg and restore blood flow to the foot. The clot may be reached directly through an incision over the vessel or drawn out with a balloon catheter passed along it. The anesthesia team keeps the patient comfortable and stable through what is often an emergency; the surgeon's work is charged separately.
