Anesthesia care for open surgery that clears the popliteal artery behind the knee, opening the vessel and stripping out the fatty plaque and clot lining it, sometimes closing it with a patch to keep it wide. The anesthesia team keeps the patient comfortable and watches blood pressure and blood flow to the leg while the artery is clamped. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
