Anesthesia for Upper Leg Artery Surgery

Kansas rates for HCPCS 01272

Covers the anesthesia care given during an operation on the arteries of the upper leg. The anesthesia clinician provides a general anesthetic or a spinal or epidural block, watches blood pressure closely because it directly drives flow through the vessel being worked on, and manages fluids, warming and recovery afterwards. The surgeon's work on the artery is a separate service and is billed separately.
