Anesthesia For Bone Marrow Sampling

Anesthesia care during a bone marrow sampling, in which a needle is passed into the broad pelvic bone at the hip to draw out marrow fluid or take a small core of marrow. The anesthesia team provides sedation or a general anesthetic so the patient does not feel the needle, and monitors vital signs throughout.
