Anesthesia care for an operation that clears organs out of the pelvis, such as the bladder, the rectum and the reproductive organs, and rebuilds the way waste leaves the body. It is a very long operation with heavy blood loss, so the anesthesia team places lines to measure pressures directly, transfuses blood, and manages temperature and fluids for many hours. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
