Anesthesia for Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery
Idaho rates for HCPCS 00567
Anesthesia care for coronary artery bypass surgery, in which the surgeon uses a healthy blood vessel taken from elsewhere in the body to carry blood around a narrowed or blocked artery of the heart. The anesthesia team keeps the patient unconscious and pain-free, places lines to watch the heart and blood pressure closely, and manages breathing and circulation from before the first incision until the patient is handed over to intensive care. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
