Anesthesia for Chest Surgery With One-Lung Ventilation
New Hampshire rates for HCPCS 00541
Anesthesia care for an operation that opens the chest to reach the lungs, the lining around them, the diaphragm, or the space between the lungs. The anesthesia team deliberately deflates the lung on the side being operated on and ventilates only the other one, so the surgeon has room to work, then manages breathing and circulation throughout. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
