Anesthesia care for an operation in which part of the skull is opened to remove a collection of blood pressing on the brain. The anesthesia team keeps the patient asleep and still, controls blood pressure and the pressure inside the head, and monitors them closely, often under emergency conditions. The neurosurgeon's work is charged separately.
