Michigan rates for HCPCS 00176
Anesthesia care for an extensive operation inside the mouth and throat in which a wide area of tissue is removed. The anesthesia team has to secure the breathing passage while the surgeon works in the same space, often routing the breathing tube through the nose or, when necessary, through an opening in the neck, and manages bleeding and swelling throughout. The surgeon's work is charged separately.
